New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 12 Board Exam results on Friday. On its Twitter account, the Board shared the information. On the official websites, cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in, the result has been uploaded. A false circular that claimed the results were announced on May 11 caused the excitement surrounding the results to start picking up earlier this week. But CBSE dismissed such information, claiming that the letter was fake since they never provide the dates in advance.
According to CBSE, the pass rate this year is 87.33 percent, which is higher than the pass rate of 83.40 percent in 2019 during the pre-Covid period.
In an effort to prevent unhealthy competition, the Board also announced that it will not be giving first, second, or third divisions to its pupils. However, 0.1% of students who received the best marks in the disciplines would receive a merit certificate from CBSE.
Thiruvananthapuram has the highest pass rate, with 99,91% of pupils passing the test there. Prayagraj is at the bottom of the list with 78.05 percent.
